Miranda Lambert lashes out at fans during the concert, causing people to walk out: ‘It’s p—ing me off’

Miranda Lambert put a group of fans on blast during her concert Saturday night, eliciting a mixed reaction from the rest of her Vegas audience.

Only a few bars into her hit track “Tin Man,” Lambert told the audience, “I’m gonna stop right here for a second.… These girls are worried about their selfie and not listening to the song. It’s p—ing me off a little bit,” she said motioning to an area in the crowd.

“I don’t like it, at all,” she said to many cheers. “We’re here to hear some country music tonight, I’m singing some damn country music.”

“Sit down,” she told the group, motioning for them to take a seat. “Shall we start again?” she then asked the crowd, before beginning the song.

While she continued to sing, Lambert received mixed reactions from the crowd. Some began to holler, cheer and whistle for the 39-year-old, while others left the arena in protest.

In a fan-recorded video, a person can be heard saying to those around her, “Let’s go. C’mon. You don’t do that to fans.”

The court of public opinion chimed in on social media – with thousands of comments being left on the TikTok video.

“I love Miranda, but what?” one person wrote.

Another TikTok user was more sympathetic, writing, “I mean give the artists you paid tickets for your undivided attention… you don’t need to record everything. EMBRACE IT.”

Most users were not as forgiving, offering criticism of the “The House That Built Me” singer.

“Yeah I would’ve left, f— that,” one person wrote. “They paid to be there. If you don’t want pictures then don’t allow phones. That’s ridiculous.”

“I’ve seen tons of people record their reactions to hearing their favorite song live… I feel like they were just excited, that’s so uncalled for,” another person suggested.

“And that’s when I’d have walked out,” another comment read.

One of the women who was reprimanded by Lambert is now speaking out on the situation, saying she has left “appalled.”

“It was 30 seconds at most,” Adela Calin, 43, told NBC News. “We took the picture quickly and were going to sit back down.”

“It felt like I was back at school with the teacher scolding me for doing something wrong and telling me to sit down back in my place … I felt like she was determined to make us look like we were young, immature and vain. But we were just grown women in our 30s to 60s trying to take a picture.”

Calin said he believes Lambert’s reaction could have been fueled by the latest dangerous trend of musicians, including Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Kelsea Ballerini, Pink and Bebe Rexha having objects thrown at them while performing on stage.

A representative for Lambert did not immediately return Fox News Digital’s request for comment on Calin’s statement, having previously shared they had no comment.

Lambert’s next performance from her Velvet Rodeo residency will be on Wednesday.

Celine Dion cancels 2023-24 shows over health condition | MusicNews

Singer posted a video in December 2022 to say she had recently been diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome.

Pop icon Celine Dion has canceled all her remaining shows scheduled for 2023-24, saying she was not strong enough to tour as she battles a rare neurological disorder.

Last year, the 55-year-old Canadian revealed that her condition – Stiff-Person Syndrome – was affecting her singing.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint all of you once again… and even though it breaks my heart, it’s best that we cancel everything until I’m really ready to be back on stage,” Dion tweeted.

“I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!” she added.

A statement released by her tour said, “With a sense of tremendous disappointment, Celine Dion’s Courage World Tour today announced the cancellation of all remaining dates currently on sale for 2023 and 2024.”

Hope you get better soon. I watched your concert in 2017 and it was one of the best days of my life! A dream come true, really. I’m looking forward to seeing you again on stage. Until then, please continue to take good care of yourself.

Dion, one of the top women singers with an octave-busting voice, is the author of hits like, Because You Loved Me, My Heart Will Go On, and, Think Twice.

In December 2022, she posted a tearful video on Instagram to say she had recently been diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome and would not be ready to start her European tour in February as planned.

She said the disorder was causing muscle spasms and was “not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to”.

Sufferers commonly experience stiff muscles in the torso, arms and legs, with noise or emotional distress known to trigger spasms.

The cancellations will affect her 16-country tour in Europe which was due to start in Amsterdam in August and conclude with two dates at the O2 arena in London in April next year.

Her “Courage World Tour” began in 2019, and Dion completed 52 shows before the coronavirus pandemic put the remainder on hold. She later canceled the North American section of the tour due to her health problems.

Fans online reacted with disappointment, but wished Dion well.

“Not surprising, but no less sad. Courage to you Celine, we are with you,” wrote one fan information account @LesRedHeads.

“You don’t have to apologize queen! Take care of yourself. Your health should take number one priority,” wrote @notaerz.

The youngest of 14 children, Dion was born in Quebec, Canada and got her start at 12, when her mother sent a recording of her to Angelil, who mortgaged her own home to finance her first album. She began singing in French, but started bellowing out hits in English after taking English lessons in the 1980s.

She gained worldwide fame in 1997 with, My Heart Will Go On, the theme to James Cameron’s extremely popular film, Titanic.

She parlayed that success into a regular gig at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, playing for audiences night after night for 16 years, with only a few breaks.

Celine Dion announces new music amid her health battle

After announcing in December that she has a rare neurological disorder that affects her singing, Celine Dion is debuting new music.

On Thursday, a post on the singer’s legacy verified Instagram account shared the news that Dion’s single, “Love Again,” is now out.

It’s the title track to the forthcoming film of the same name starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan.

“Mark your calendars, on May 5, the film hits theaters and on May 12, the full album, featuring 5 new Celine songs, will be available,” the caption on the video reads.

The lyric video features scenes from the film in which Dion made her film acting debut.

She revealed just months ago that she is living with stiff-person syndrome, which affects “something like one in a million people,” Dion said at the time.

“While we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know this is what’s been causing all of the spasms that I’ve been having,” she said in an emotional social media post. “Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I’m used to.”

Stiff-person syndrome is “a rare, progressive syndrome that affects the nervous system, specifically the brain and spinal cord,” according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

The Grammy winner canceled her planned summer 2023 concerts and rescheduled others for next year.

Mayhem Singles Round Up Part 4 2023

I think it’s time for another Mayhem singles round-up, don’t you? Here coming the fourth for 2023, it includes a baker’s dozen of tunes that have been passed on to me or recommended during the previous few weeks and months, there are some rather spiffing tracks.

It features many artists and bands that have appeared on Mayhem’s pages before. There are also four great cover versions in this collection. There are new tracks from Avalanche Party, Apollo Junction, Vaquelin and Liz Davinci who I think all have new albums coming out sometime this year. Judging from their latest offerings, choosing Mayhem’s album of the year for 2023 will be very difficult! Let me know what you think of this great collection of tunes!

“Serious Dance Music” – Avalanche Party

Ain’t no party like an Avalanche Party and the AP boys are back with what is most definitely a tune for partying to. You probably wouldn’t play this at a work event! I sense an Amazing Snakeheads influence in this fast-paced, frenzied, frenetic, funky, feral, fest of a song. The band all seem to be in top form, especially Kane’s drumming. This is the first single from their upcoming sophomore album, ‘Der Traum Über Alles’. The video is very classy indeed.

“History” – Apollo Junction

The Apollo Junction boys are back with another offering that will feature on their third album, due out later this year. For the first minute, it is soft, acoustic, mellow and pensive. Then the sound continues to build with an almost drone-like guitar sound underpinning it. It finally builds to an immense orchestral-sounding, epic finish. The harmonies are superb and I can imagine this sound echoing across festival fields for years to come. Possibly my favorite Apollo Junction song so far.

“The Grayston Boogie” – Hazy Janes

This is a fine slab of fuzzy, dirty, electric blues. If you are not doing the Grayston Boogie by the end of the track then you should frankly seek medical help. The video has a few fleeting tips as to how to boogie in a Grayston way!

“Back To Black” – The Palava

A brave choice to cover this one. No one could ever hope to emulate the original Amy Winehouse, so the Palava chose to take the song in a different direction. An immaculate blues rock vocal and some gritty, scuzzy garage rock style guitars. I have seen the band play this live and they do it well, but this recording is so much better than that! I bloody love it!

“FKN H8 U 2” – Sad Like You

This bunch is from Adelaide, Australia and this track is reminiscent of the softer side of Blink 182. It is a close-to-perfect amalgam of great pop punk and emo. A heartfelt tale of heartbreak. I am looking forward to hearing more from Sad Like You.

“Pain Reliever” – Liz Davinci

Is Liz Davinci descended from Leonardo? I don’t know, but she is certainly an incredibly talented artist. Vocally there are elements of Kate Bush, Suzanne Vega, and Marcella Detroit here. This tune is beautiful and almost baroque in its construction. I love the way that Liz is not afraid to use the space between the notes. This augers well for her forthcoming album ‘Fata Morgana’.

“Five Years” – Easy All Stars/ Steel Pulse

This is the second cover in this singles selection (there will be more) and it does what I think makes a perfect cover in that it isn’t a simple facsimile of the original. This is the first track to be released from the Easy All Stars forthcoming album of a reggae reimagining of Bowie’s ‘The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars’ album. This one works perfectly and bodes well for the album. The Dame’s rarely touched reggae, and when he did it was never particularly good in my opinion. But Easy All Stars with Steel Pulse show with absolute certainty that Bowie can work in a reggae style.

“Feelin’ Good” – The Black Skies Ft. Hellbound Glory

We have another cover in the singles round up. This time it was a smoky, heavy, swampy, garage rock version on Nina Simone’s iconic classic “Feelin’ Good”. For me this version takes back ownership of the song from Muse after Matt Bellamy’s somewhat histrionic and over-the-top take on the tune from a few years ago.

“Tell Me With Your Eyes” – Witch Of The East

Witch Of The East returns with a fabulous new song. This is punk, post punk, electro, dance with a goth icing and a pinch of New Order. Based on this, if there is another Witch Of The East album in development it will be bloody wonderful.

“Back-Alley Barn Dance” – I Tell Lies

Get into this band now, then when they break big you can impress your friends by saying you were there at the start. This song is full on rock with large shots of Yard Act and Sleaford Mods and a shady undercurrent of mounting anger. Go see them live as soon as you can!

“Wicked Game” – JW Paris

Gemma, Danny and Aaron returned with a stonking cover of Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game”. It feels like the Velvet Underground made the song originally back in the 60s and then Isaak covered it in 1989. OK, I know that isn’t true, right? This must be top of the list to be on the Twin Peaks soundtrack if there is ever another remake, prequel or sequel. I love that in the blurb to the video on YouTube the band state “Dear lovers, snoggers and nighttime doggers. We’ve recorded a cover of one of our favorites in light of the smoochin’ season” that cracked me up, well the nighttime doggers bit anyway!

“The Bona Fide Money Laundering Society” – Vaquelin

Another banging tune from Vaquelin, it kicks off like Led Zeppelin on Quaaludes and the vocals are classic 70s rock style with a dash of Bowie’s Tin Machine Style. The screaming lead guitar, particularly in the last part of the track is something Mick Ronson would be proud of. The second album from Vaquelin looks like it will be better than the first based on this tune!

“Greed” – The Undercover Hippy

The Undercover Hippy is an expert at protest tunes, because it’s done in a very clever and subtle way. The reggae backing has shades of another great band, Captain Ska. This song questions the greed and or incompetence of our less than industrial leaders. We need more artists like this calling out the scummy liars in government.
